98% Success Rate for Implants
A new study in the Journal of Oral Implantology suggests that implants are 98% successful and cause little or no bone loss. The study was done reviewing 60 patient charts receiving 267 implants in 2 private practices in Israel and Germany. The average follow up time was 7.5 years. This study adds to the growing body of evidence supporting dental implants as the most successful method of replacing missing or compromised teeth. Implants surgery is one of the safest, and most predictable procedures in dentistry. Surveys show that 2 out of 3 Americans have at least one missing tooth. For most of these patients, implants are the preferred method of tooth replacement.
